Many English alumni have used their degrees to write and edit while others have gone in unique directions.
Signe Jorgeson – BA-Creative Writing & Religious Studies ‘04
I earned my MFA from the University of Alaska Anchorage, and I began teaching composition at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 2009. I recently became co-Editor in Chief of the literary journal Stoneboat (www.stoneboatwi.com), a journal that publishes poetry and prose from around the world but has a strong preference for good work from Wisconsin and Midwestern writers.
Jennifer Kushnier – BA-English & creative writing ’96
I develop, write, and edit recipes for magazines and books, a few of which have gone on to become New York Times bestsellers.
Emily Stanke – BA-Creative Writing & Scientific and Technical Writing ‘08
I have some good news to report in response to your call for success stories. In July I accepted a job with Bourget Law, S.C. of Eau Claire working in Intellectual Property Law.
