It’s that time again for the annual Chippewa Valley Book Festival! This year we’ll celebrate its fifteenth anniversary with a packed schedule. Events include visits from over twenty authors, readings, and meals with authors. On Saturday, September 27th, prose and poetry writing workshops for grades 6-8 will take place. The main festival events, which include meals, readings, conversations, and more, will take place from Monday, October 13th through Sunday, October 19th. Post-festival events include writing workshops for adults from the 20th through the 22nd and a performance by Gary Wright at the State Theatre on Thursday, October 23rd. The Chippewa Valley Book Festival is sponsored by the Literary Arts Committee of the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council. Volunteer members are from area communities, the Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire Area School Districts, Indianhead Federated Library System, L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library, and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
